There are two pubs in the village, The White Horse and The Bull. They are both a 5 minute walk away from The White Barn, both serving food and the local beer Harvey's. Ditchling also has a high class delicatessen / coffee shop / restaurant called Chesterton's. There is also the traditional Ditchling Tea Rooms, serving Italian suppers Friday and Saturday evening.

Further afield in Hassocks are two pubs (The Thatched Inn and The Greyhound), and a fish and chip shop. In Hurstpierpoint there is an excellent Indian restaurant called Napur and in Pyecombe the Plough Inn that serves Italian food.
