There are two pubs in the village, The White Horse and The Bull, only five minutes walk away. Both serve food and the famous locally brewed Harvey's beer. Other food establishments are The General serving coffees and evening meals, The Ditchling Tea Rooms and The Larder, a delicatessen.

Further afield in Hassocks there is a Costa coffee shop and two pubs The Thatched Inn and The Greyhound serving food. In Hurstpierpoint there is an excellent Indian restaurant called Napur and in Pyecombe the Plough Inn which serves Italian food.
